Q: What is Skywarn?
A: Skywarn is an organization of volunteer, trained, severe weather observers, who communicate with the National Weather Service using amateur radio. The TCRC (147.21) repeater is the main Skywarn repeater for the Southwest metro area. More information including a schedule of Skywarn Spotter Classes can be found on www.skywarn.ampr.org.
