The National Weather Service, together with
the ARRL, will hold Skywarn Recognition Day
from 00:00 - 24:00 on December 4, 2004
(6PM 12/3 - 6PM 12/4).

For more details see the NWS special event web page, or page 72 of the December QST. SKYWARN Recognition Day was developed in 1999 by the National Weather Service and the American Radio Relay League. It celebrates the contributions that volunteer SKYWARN radio operators make to the National Weather Service. During the day SKYWARN operators visit NWS offices and contact other radio operators across the world.
